Smart911 is a patented, hosted emergency response data service providing 911 call takers and first responders with critical supplemental or additional ALI data that callers have opted to provide emergency responders in the event of a 9-1-1 call.
Here's how it works:
- Users register for free, providing critical information they want to provide in the event of an emergency and accepting responsibility for regularly updating the information. Users must also confirm phone numbers they register.
- Smart911 stores the data in secure servers
- When 911 is dialed from a confirmed phone, the information is automatically made available on the call takers CAD or Admin workstation.
- Dispatchers, EMS, Fire and Police responders access the data through Smart911's first responder portal or via their CAD system.
Key things to remember:
- We don't effect call routing in anyway (unless you want to use the data we provide to do so)
- The implementation is quick and easy - usually under an hour for a 5 station set-up
- We ensure the data is kept up-to-date and have numerous process to manage it
